They are lost in the forest. This happens a lot around here. However, it is the evening now, and the weather is brisk but tolerable. Tolerable enough that Orion is butt naked and bathing himself in a pond like a savage, because it turns out not cleaning yourself when you have human skin results in you feeling itchy and awful, especially when you've been rolling around in the dirt as much as been customary lately.

Not that being a robot psychologically leads to him being very sensitive about nudity. He slides in waist deep and makes an uncomfortable sound. Temperature, though...

"Really. You should tell him that, some time," Starscream drawls in that awful smugly superior but weirdly enticing purr he likes to take on. "I don't think he got the memo."

He rises to his feet suddenly and starts stripping. Like hell he's going to keep waiting. He goes right back to watching Orion like a hawk, shirt bundled up in his clawed hands. "That, or you missed the memo about his command over everything. Either way..."

Orion frowns, looking back at him. He's not really concerned about Startscream getting naked, but he is concerned about this line of conversation.

"If there were to be any rules," he says, after a moment. "I should think that they would be in regards to being polite rather than simply avoiding me."

[starscheme]

"Ahhh. See, that's where the issue is..."

He kicks his pants away and turns to face Orion, buck naked with his arms across his chest. "I'm only polite to the people that I respect. And I'm afraid you have yet to earn that distinction."

He pauses a moment, frowning thoughtfully.

"Nothing personal, of course."

Another pause.

"Alright perhaps it's slightly personal, but... well, nothing you can't overcome with a bit of hard work."

Orion just raises his eyebrows, his expression unimpressed. He turns away to focus on his own business.

"Perhaps you should put a bit of hard work into learning to be civil, then," he says. Like hell if he's going to do anything to impress a Decepticon.

Starscream takes the time to look mildly offended while Orion has his back turned before stubbornly making his way into the water.

It's positively frigid. At least that's how it feels to him. Instead of doing the smart thing and just plunging in all at once he gingerly wades his way in, grumbling internally and cursing about human hygiene requirements and their inability to deal with even the mildest of temperatures-

He stumbles, loses his balance, and winds up sloppily plunging in anyway, sending a cascade of water in the other bots direction. Depending on how close attention Orion was paying to the sounds he's making it'll either seem like Starscream is deliberately and spitefully splashing him, or it'll be obvious that he's just a fucking idiot who can't walk through water properly. He resurfaces quickly, soaked and snorting water out of his nose and mouth and shaking his head in a manner akin to a suddenly soaked dog.

Thankfully Orion has already submerged himself once, so that was a lot less alarming than it could have been. Still. He swing around to glare at Starscream only a moment before realizing that the other bot was just being a weenie. He crosses his arms around his breasts.

"Did you breathe any?" Orion asks flatly. "This species cannot do that."

[starscheme]

"I know that!" Starscream snaps hastily, shivering and pushing wet hair from his eyes. "This species can't even survive unaided in the vacuum of space, I would expect no better for their compatibility with water. Besides, you're not the only one who can read, you know." He's done his own share of research at the library on his own time, just for the sake of being better prepared.

"I did not doubt," Orion says. He's not really looking to start a fight here, and so he doesn't antagonize Starscream intentionally, but he's always so rude its hard to know how to interact with him.
